The Star Garden Sanctuary for Children

The Star Garden Sanctuary offers a program that will be beneficial for the development of any child and specifically for children suffering from stress, shock or trauma, ADD, ADHD and Autism.

Labyrinths are being used successfully in schools, child care centres, playgrounds, camps and other programs worldwide. Labyrinth activities support maths, language, history, art , music and physical education.

Here we use interaction with nature to restore balance and healing. It is important for children to spend time in nature and to be taught to love and respect the earth and all other living beings of the earth.

Labyrinth walks have been used to welcome new students, help children grieve losses, resolve conflicts, fundraise, celebrate graduations, and host community events.

The Labyrinth Experience—find healing in expression through movement and sound. Please sponsor R 40 per child.
A 2 day week end on the farm for children who has never been on a holiday. An educational experience in nature with development of creative abilities. Please sponsor R 600 per child
A 6 day week on the farm to spend in nature. Hiking, fishing, riding bicycle, caring for animals, story telling, drama and art. Please sponsor R 1500 per child.

Sponsor a child to attend the development program

Volunteer to become a facilitator with special skills.

Facilitators are needed for musical training, drama, art, story telling, creative writing and dancing.
